Half a story. Completely told.
A slight sterling silver dome carries a stamped flower that emerges from one edge and fades into the silver before it can finish. The bloom is present and absent simultaneously, caught in the moment of becoming or the moment of passing depending on how you choose to read it. A fine silver wire frames the dome, turning it into something almost like a small window onto a garden caught mid-season.
Minimalist poetry is exactly the right description. This is the Iti piece for the woman who finds meaning in the partial and the suggested rather than the complete and the stated.
Sterling silver, stamped dome with wire frame, 45cm chain. Handmade in New Zealand by Sue Dunmore, Porini Design Studio.
Iti Faded Bloom Pendant
Every piece is individually crafted in our New Zealand workshop using traditional silversmithing and goldsmithing techniques.
Handforming metal means each item will have subtle variations - this is the hallmark of genuine handcraft, not mass production.
