The stone that became part of the chain.
A small faceted gemstone sits horizontally in a sleek bezel setting, a jump ring on each side connecting it directly into the chain so the stone reads as an architectural element of the necklace rather than a pendant hanging from it. The horizontal orientation is the whole design decision. Contemporary, minimal, completely unlike traditional pendant styling.
The gemstone is integrated rather than added. The chain arrives at the stone and continues through it, the colour appearing as a considered interruption in the silver line at the collarbone.
Available in amethyst, citrine, peridot, or rose quartz. Four different colour stories, one considered construction.
Sterling silver with choice of amethyst, citrine, peridot, or rose quartz, horizontally bezel set, 45cm chain. Handmade in New Zealand by Sue Dunmore, Porini Design Studio.

Every piece is individually crafted in our New Zealand workshop using traditional silversmithing and goldsmithing techniques.
Handforming metal means each item will have subtle variations - this is the hallmark of genuine handcraft, not mass production.
