Sugoi. Amazing.
The most architecturally complex piece in the collection and the one that earns its name most completely.
Two 9ct yellow gold wires work across a high polish silver dome. The first bisects it. The second divides only one of the resulting halves, creating three unequal sections. At the point where the two wires meet a single silver bead marks the intersection, a quiet full stop in a warm metal accent.
The three sections are deliberately unequal. This is not a mistake in the geometry. It is the point of the geometry. The eye moves across the dome looking for symmetry and finds something more interesting instead, a division that feels considered and slightly unpredictable at the same time.
The gold wires on the polished silver dome create a warmth and dimensionality that shifts in different lights. The silver bead at the intersection catches the light differently again. Three materials. Three sections. One piece that rewards attention.
Available in small 1cm, medium 1.2cm, or large 1.4cm. Sterling silver dome with 9ct yellow gold wire division and silver bead detail, high polish. Post soldered to centre, butterfly back. Handmade in New Zealand by Sue Dunmore, Porini Design Studio.
